1. Working Principle

The hypochlorous acid generator adopts a diaphragm free electrolytic cell to electrolyze the special electrolyte. The chloride ion in the electrolyte on the anode is oxidized to generate chlorine.

Chlorine generated on anode reacts with the water to generate hypochlorite.

 CL2+H 20→HCLO+HCL

2. Sterilization Principle

Hypochlorous acid (HCIO) produced by electrolysis has strong oxidation ability. It can damage the cell membrane after contacting with microorganisms, so that the protein, RNA and DNA in cells cannot play their normal biochemical activities, quickly destroy the cell membrane of harmful microorganisms, and lead to the death of microorganisms to achieve the sterilization effect.

3. Main Bactericidal Factors and Intensity

Main bactericidal factor: hypochlorous acid (HCIO)

Hypochlorite water can kill many kinds of microorganisms, such as bacterial propagules, viruses, fungi, etc. Suspension quantitative killing test showed that the logarithm of killing Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Candida albicans by suspension was more than 5 after 1 min.
